HERE I GO!
So...I have decided to enter the internet dating world. It's time. I am ready to date. The problem is that like most men and women, I just don't have the time to go out on a mission to meet someone. I'm not really into the bar scene. Well, I like going to bars, going out dancing, being social. Usually after my busy work week. I just don't have the energy to get all dressed up and hang out til midnight in the hopes that I may meet someone. I've also noticed that in a bar full of people, maaaybeee two look interesting. And one of them is usually drunk...OR..completely loses me upon opening his mouth! The odds aren't good.
It's been suggested that I join an internet dating site like match.com. Seems to be one of the most well known. My wealthy executive friends say that they too, do not have the time to go to the bar scene or go out and date, usually working and just aren't in a place to actually meet someone. Therefore, internet dating has become the thing to do. So here I go.
I have posted a profile about a week ago on match.com. I am amazed at how many men have responded so far. I have not 'become a member' because I feel like I should document the whole experience for those who are thinking of doing the same thing. You can live vicariously through me, before you too decide to take the plunge!
With that said, you must know a little bit about myself. I'm 46 years old. I look ten years younger then I actually am. I have the body of a 22 year old. I'm not bragging, just being honest. I think this puts my dating demographics quite large. I am divorced. My ex was ten years younger then me. I think I'm over that. I am really not looking to raise another child, I have three. Two of my kids are in college and living on their own. I have a five year old who obviously lives with me. She's the best. So when I describe myself, I really do mean my chronological age does not apply.
I seem to be most attracted to men in their mid thirties, but I am trying to go outside that box and date men a little older and more secure both financially and emotionally. I really could care a less what the person looks like physically. And I mean that. I've dated fine men. The finest! I've dated short, tall, fat, skinny, black, white..It really does not matter to me what the person looks like. Im much more interested in whats on the inside.
With that said. I plan on dating every kind on match.com. Which I'm thinking is going to be quite funny! I plan on writing about my exploits and giving up every detail! Im not sure I'll tell my suitors, but eventually they may figure it out. I'm brutally honest to a fault. I call it like I see it and I don't believe in sugar coating!
